This month we saw our pretty meadow print muslin by Pehr get featured in MyBaba’s new product round up, Yay!
Pehr is one of our new brands and designed in Canada. Pehr is a trusted lifestyle brand that creates playfully sophisticated Children’s décor and accessories that capture the beauty and simplicity of childhood. We absolutely love their designs and are hoping to bring more of their collections to our store, Mama et Moi.
The fabric of their muslins is made from the softest 100% cotton. Muslin blankets can be used for so many things and are not only perfect for swaddling.
For Instance, they can be used for blankets, bed sheet covers, a breastfeeding cover, burp cloth,you name it, the list is endless. They are just so versatile and as any new mum will tell you, you just can’t have too many!
So, why do you use a swaddle blanket for your baby?
Well, muslin blankets are incredibly soft and can be relaxing for your little one. They may help bring a sense of calm whilst the babies are swaddled. This helps give the babies a sense of feeling safe, like being back in the womb. But bear in mind that some babies don’t enjoy the sensation of being swaddled and your little one will soon let you know!
Most importantly it is the way muslin cloths are designed. They help to regulate the heat and the breathable fabric allows air to flow, keeping the little ones at a regulated temperature.
Do make sure you swaddle correctly and safely and to remember to stop swaddling your baby as soon as he or she shows signs of being able to roll over on to his side or tummy.
