Kensington Mums | Christmas Special

As you saw last week Mama et Moi got to know the lovely Dina from Kensington Mums.  It's definitely starting to feel very Christmassy and Dina has shared with us one of Kensington Mums Christmas Special.  We all love a bit of ice skating during Christmas don't we? Take a peek inside to see the top places to visit in London..

The UK’S LARGEST OUTDOOR ICE RINK AT WINTER WONDERLAND

The open air ice rink at Winter Wonderland provides the perfect place for some winter skating!

Open from 10am – 10pm, stretch out and practise your ice skating moves during a crisp morning skate. Enjoy the afternoon sun as it glistens on the ice, soak up the romantic atmosphere at twilight, or skate after dark under the stars.

Kick-off the coming winter season with some festive skating. Come along for a spin with your friends or bring that special someone for a romantic date and glide hand-in-hand around the ice. Ideal for all ages and abilities, it’s a great family activity which the kids will love, whether you’re a complete beginner or are looking to improve your skills on the ice!

Live music from the bandstand provides the perfect atmosphere while you skate. Or if skating’s not your thing, enjoy a hot chocolate or festive drink from the spectator’s platform

ICE SKATING AT CANARY WHARF

Get your skates on, Ice Rink Canary Wharf has returned to Canada Square Park for 16 magical weeks of ice skating beneath the twinkling lights. Open seven days a week, it’s the perfect place to enjoy one of London’s most loved winter traditions.

Take a turn on the ice, skating around the main 1300 sq m rink or gliding gracefully through the serene skate path. Back by popular demand, the path leads you on a new route this year underneath the park’s enchanting canopy of trees.

If you want to eat, drink and shop all in one go, Canary Wharf is the spot. Stay close to the action at the rink-side bar, or choose from the array of restaurants, bars, and shops surrounding the ice rink. And it’s not just during Christmas that you can take a spin on the ice, Ice Rink Canary Wharf opens seven days a week from November 2017 through to February 2018.

SKATE AT SOMERSET HOUSE

Enjoy the perfect winter day out at Somerset House. Skate day or night with family and friends on London’s most beautiful ice rink.

New for 2017 are Skate Lates, a specially curated programme of music nights throughout the season – the perfect start to your weekend. Treat yourself at Fortnum’s Lodge with one of our Skate Extras – all designed for two to share – or watch the action rink-side from the Skate Lounge.

The West Wing will once again transform into Fortnum’s Christmas Arcade.

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM ICE RINK

Set against the backdrop of the Waterhouse building, the Ice Rink at the Natural History Museum is one of the most magical places to be this winter.

Experience the thrill of skating surrounded by fairy lights nestled in frost-covered trees, with the smell of mulled wine and toasted marshmallows in the air.

Whether you can dance on ice like Torvill and Dean, or you skate more like Bambi, a visit to the Museum’s Ice Rink is a must this festive season.

Kensington Mums was established in 2011 with the aim of sharing knowledge and experiences and helping Kensington Mums learn from one another. After Dina had her second baby, the idea of having a bigger network support came to mind and in a sense created a passion to help mums outside her group of friends.

It occurred to Dina that mums really need a network support so that they won’t feel alone in a haze of milky delight during the first few months of being a Mum. A Network support for mums – as the name suggests – supports mums in their journey of motherhood and off course parenting. Sharing tips, swapping advice and ideas are all important in a life of a mother who wants the best for her children. A mother’s instinct is always the best.

Parenting should not be about surviving tantrums or struggling with sleep or potty training. Seeing your gorgeous cute newborn change every day, is something to look forward to. The first smile, the first tooth, the first steps…these are truly milestones to cherish forever.

We have loved getting to know Dina and hope you have too! If you don't follow Kensington Mums then you can follow them here :
